Panasonic LUMIX FZ300 Video Recording Limits

Panasonic LUMIX FZ300 (DMC-FZ300)

The Panasonic LUMIX FZ300 has a maximum video recording time of 30 minutes, but only for some formats. That limit is also dependent upon multiple factors like camera settings, media storage size, camera power, and internal camera temperature. See details and notes below for more information.

Details

Maximum continuous video recording times for the Panasonic LUMIX FZ300
Format Limit

1Recording stops when the continuous recording time exceeds 29 minutes, 59 seconds.

2You can continue recording without interruption even if the file size exceeds 4GB, but the motion picture file will be divided and played back separately.

3Recording stops when the continuous recording time exceeds 29 minutes, 59 seconds or the file size exceeds 4GB (whichever occurs first).

4Since the file size becomes larger with [FHD], recording with [FHD] will stop before 29 minutes, 59 seconds.

5This limit is not documented, so a limit of 30 minutes is assumed from all other format options.

4K Formats 30 minutes1, 2
MP4 [FHD] 30 minutes or 4GB3, 4
MP4 [HD] 30 minutes or 4GB3
MP4 [VGA] 30 minutes or 4GB3
AVCHD Formats 30 minutes1, 5

Notes

  • The maximum available continuous recording time will be displayed on the screen.
  • An increase of the camera’s internal temperature may cause recording to stop before the maximum recording time is reached.
  • Alternate Model Names: DMC-FZ300
